Each piece is slightly larger, satisfying enough to feel like a reward, and made from the same single ingredient: wild-caught sockeye salmon. You know exactly where this comes from. Rich, high-value reward bites made from one ingredient, with a satisfying texture and irresistible wild salmon flavor. Naturally rich in omega-3s and lean protein to support skin, coat, and overall vitality.

When to use: Post-walk rewards, behavior milestones, calm-down reinforcement, enrichment, everyday treating. Each treat is approximately 5 calories. Adjust daily feeding based on your dog’s size and activity level. Always supervise while feeding and ensure fresh water is available. Break into smaller pieces for training or smaller dogs. Reseal and store in a cool, dry place after opening.

Wild-caught in Alaska’s Bristol Bay and processed in Oregon, our sockeye salmon is responsibly sourced from the MSC-certified Bristol Bay fishery, one of the world’s most sustainable wild fisheries. Each batch is carefully handled and gently freeze-dried to preserve natural nutrition and quality. We focus on traceability, minimal processing, and responsible production practices to help protect the resource that makes these treats possible.

Q: What’s in it?

A: One ingredient: wild-caught sockeye salmon from Bristol Bay, Alaska. Freeze-dried. That’s it. No fillers, no additives, no artificial anything.  

Q: Who catches the salmon?

A: Our co-founder Nick and fellow Bristol Bay fishermen. Every fish is traceable to the Bristol Bay Fishery and season. 

Q: Will it smell like fish?

A: Wild sockeye salmon is a leaner, cleaner fish than other salmon - especially farmed salmon - resulting in a milder aroma and cleaner-smelling treat. Its naturally lower fat content helps reduce the strong fishy odor common in many salmon treats. 

Q: How big are the pieces?

A: Sized for the perfect high value reward - Each piece is approximately ¼” thick x ½” long.

Q: Why don’t more pet treats use sockeye?

A: Wild Bristol Bay sockeye is harder to source consistently and commands a premium price. Many brands choose less expensive species to lower costs. As fishermen with direct ties to this fishery, we built Bristol Bay Bites around access to a salmon we believe is unmatched in quality—and worth doing right.

Q: Can my cat eat this treat?

A: Yes. Sockeye Snaps are made from one ingredient — wild-caught Bristol Bay sockeye salmon, freeze-dried with nothing added — so they're safe for cats too, and many customers say their cats love them as much as their dogs do. As with any treat, feed in moderation alongside a balanced diet, and check with your vet first if your cat has any health conditions (like kidney disease) that require dietary restrictions.

Q: Can I eat these treats?

A: While our freeze-dried treats are made from high-quality, human-grade ingredients, they are intended and labeled for pet consumption only. Because they are produced and marketed as pet food, we can't recommend them for human consumption.
