Wild-caught Bristol Bay sockeye, made for dogs. Fisherman-owned, single-source, no fillers.

Designed for repetition. These are the treats you reach for ten times a walk, twenty times a training session. Each piece is small enough to reward without overfeeding, dry enough to carry in your pocket, and made from one ingredient: wild-caught Bristol Bay sockeye salmon, freeze-dried and nothing else. Low odor than the leading brand and no grease. Just clean protein your dog will work for. You know exactly where this comes from. Our co-founder Nick catches this salmon in Alaska’s Bristol Bay fishery, one of the most carefully managed wild fisheries on earth. It’s processed in a USDA-inspected facility and freeze-dried in the USA. Fully traceable from boat to bag. From wild waters to good dogs.

Wild-Caught Alaska sockeye salmon. That’s it.

High-value training treats with one ingredient and irresistible wild salmon flavor that is naturally rich in omega-3s and lean protein to support skin, coat, and overall vitality.

Sockeye Snaps serve as a high-value treat for training sessions, leash walks, recall practice, behavior reinforcement and puppy socialization. Intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding. Always supervise while feeding and ensure fresh water is available. Break into smaller pieces for training or smaller dogs. Reseal and store in a cool, dry place after opening.

Wild-caught in Alaska’s Bristol Bay and processed in Oregon, our sockeye salmon is responsibly sourced from the MSC-certified Bristol Bay fishery, one of the world’s most sustainable wild fisheries. Each batch is carefully handled and gently freeze-dried to preserve natural nutrition and quality. We focus on traceability, minimal processing, and responsible production practices to help protect the resource that makes these treats possible.

CQ: What’s in it?

A: One ingredient: wild-caught sockeye salmon from Bristol Bay, Alaska. Freeze-dried. That’s it. No fillers, no additives, no artificial anything.

Q: Who catches the salmon?

A: Our co-founder Nick and fellow Bristol Bay fishermen. Every fish is traceable to the Bristol Bay Fishery and season.

Q: Will it smell like fish?

A: Wild sockeye salmon is a leaner, cleaner fish than other salmon - especially farmed salmon - resulting in a milder aroma and cleaner-smelling treat. Its naturally lower fat content helps reduce the strong fishy odor common in many salmon treats.

Q: How big are the pieces?

A: Training-sized - small enough to give repeatedly without overfeeding. Each piece is approximately ¼” long and less than 2 calories.

Q: When should I give my dog Sockeye Snaps?

A: Sockeye Snaps are made for everyday training and frequent rewards - whether you’re reinforcing good behavior, working on recall, or carrying treats on walks. Their size and texture make them ideal for repeated rewards without overfeeding.

Q: Why don’t more pet brands use sockeye salmon?

A: Wild Bristol Bay sockeye is harder to source consistently and commands a premium price, so many brands choose less expensive salmon species to lower costs. With direct ties to this fishery, we built Bristol Bay Bites around a salmon we believe offers exceptional quality, nutrition, and traceability.

Q: Can my cat eat this treat?

A: Yes. Sockeye Snaps are made from one ingredient - wild-caught Bristol Bay sockeye salmon, freeze-dried with nothing added - so they're safe for cats too, and many customers say their cats love them as much as their dogs do. As with any treat, feed in moderation alongside a balanced diet, and check with your vet first if your cat has any health conditions (like kidney disease) that require dietary restrictions.

Q: Can I eat these treats?

A: While our freeze-dried treats are made from high-quality, human-grade ingredients, they are intended and labeled for pet consumption only. Because they are produced and marketed as pet food, we can't recommend them for human consumption.

Q: What’s your return policy?

A: If your dog doesn’t love it, contact us within 30 days and we’ll make it right.

My name is Leonard and I am a 10 year old

My name is Leonard and I am a 10 year old chihuahua/beagle who is normally very well behaved and quite sophisticated I was hospitalized with a bad case of an upset tummy (my mom calls it pancreatitis) and she bought me some of your delicious snaps and then I got in trouble because they were accidentally on a shelf I could reach when they were gone and I ate them all at once but they didn't hurt me because they were so healthy and delicious please send more as soon as possible thank you my name is Leonard

Leonard, our first review from an actual pet, and such a sophisticated one at that! Clearly your mom underestimated your reach and your love of premium dog treats made from sockeye salmon. We hope the next bag comes with a higher shelf and that you enjoy just a few treats at a time. Thanks for writing to us, Leonard. Sending ear scratches your way!

Sage LOVES her Bristol Bay Bites!

Sage is a very picky treat eater and she LOVES her Bristol Bay Bites! She begs for them. Thanks for making such a wonderful, additive free treat that we can feel good about feeding our dog!

Betsy F. review photo

Thank you so much for sharing this. It is the best compliment when a picky eater like Sage cannot get enough of our treats. Additive free treats are so important to us, so it means a lot to know you feel good about what you are feeding her.

CHOMP! My dog loves the snaps!

I'm using the Sockeye Snaps as a training treat for my exuberant golden retriever, Greta. She snaps to it (pun intended) when I command her with these treats in my hand. For me, I like that I'm buying a product with a great story and mission. Kudos to the team.

Greta sounds like a natural (and we love a good pun)! It's awesome that the Sockeye Snaps are working well for training and we're so glad the story behind them resonates with you too. Thanks for the kind words and for supporting the mission!

My dog is a little bit obsessed

My dog is a little bit obsessed with the training treats! Which is great because he is more motivated to train. But what's been especially great is they're low calorie and easy to use as training treats. He loves fish and I've never found any treats that aren't hard to break apart and handle and/or make my hands smell disgusting. Yay for Bristol Bay Bites and a happy dog and a happy me!

Thanks, Caitlin! This is one of our favorite reviews. We're so glad your pup loves them and that they're helping with training. We worked hard to create a treat that's easy to handle, rewarding for dogs, and enjoyable for humans too!

Thank you so much for sharing this! It made our day to hear that Sockeye Snaps have become such a hit, and that your pup is now extra motivated to show off her tricks. That is exactly the kind of bond we hope our treats help create. Give her a scratch behind the ears from all of us at Bristol Bay Bites!

Best Host Gift You Can Bring!

I have several grand-dogs and I bring the Sockeye Snaps as a gift for them when I visit their homes. They are a huge hit! They also make great host gifts for those with pets (both dogs and cats!) when we travel or socialize. Lightweight, easy to pack, and uniquely Pacific Northwest! I signed up for the subscription for monthly deliveries to meet the demand for more.

What a lovely tradition, showing up with Sockeye Snaps for the grand-dogs sounds like the best kind of visit. We love that they have become your go to host gift too, and it means so much that both the dogs and cats in your life are fans. Thank you for signing up for the subscription, we will make sure the deliveries keep the whole crew happy.
